IT SUPPORT

Our team can answer support questions over the phone, or attend your office to carry out maintenance, installation or diagnostics. Perhaps you need holiday cover for your own IT staff or are opening a new branch or office and need installation support. Maybe you don’t have adequate support for your IT infrastructure and just want someone to check it out, bring it up-to-date and give you assurance. Whatever your needs we can offer a number of solutions, whether you are a large corporate or a small business starting out:

Per-seat support

For a smaller office, we do support on a 'per-seat' basis. Each seat can be a desktop PC/Mac or a Laptop - with associated standard peripherals (Printer, external consumer Storage devices, etc).

The user of the 'seat' is provided with a telephone number and may call for support on Hardware and regular consumer Software (Microsoft Office, Outlook/Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape/Mozilla, IE, Safari, current Mac/Windows Operating Systems, etc).

Optionals can be added - support for specific non-regular consumer packages (e.g. AutoCad, etc), specific peripherals (eg. Digital Cameras, external RAID array, etc) and support for various flavours of Linux and GNU/GPL software.

Support contracts

  • Subscription (Retainer): we give you a phone number to call when you have problems with any of your IT hardware or software, and a manageable per-minute usage tariff. This lets you contact our support team for remote diagnostic support and access to an on-site engineer if you need one. Designed for the smaller or start-up business in mind.
  • Level 2 Support: service is based on the number of hardware items (laptops, desktop PCs, servers, networking, printers). Our ticket system allows you to log a fault or request and our remote diagnostic staff or on-call engineer will address your issue. We work to a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with you. Designed for the larger office.
  • Level 1 Support: get all your IT needs seen to by experienced people - us. Out-source your IT to our team - providing you with an on-site Engineer at your office for an agreed duration per week. Let them take all of your IT faults or requests from your staff and pro-actively monitor your systems before faults occur. The service is based on the number of hardware items to be supported and the complexity. Again, we work to a Service Level Agreement (SLA). Designed for the business that depends on IT.

 

On-call support is available in and around the London area at the moment, though we do aim to provide this in other major UK cities in 2005.

Broadband and Dial-up

Need Internet? We’ll help you work out the best solution for you and any hardware needed. We only recommend reputable Internet Service Providers we have experience of working with. The usual requirements are one of the following:

  • Home User: 1 computer. Recommended: ADSL/Cable 512Kbps or better with single USB-modem/router. (50:1 contention ratio minimum for ADSL connections)
  • Home User: Multiple computers, some networking. Recommended: ADSL/Cable 512Kbps or better with router. (20:1 contention ratio minimum for ADSL connections)
  • Business: 1 computer. Recommended: ADSL 512Kbps + 20:1 contention ratio minimum.
  • Business: Multiple computers (no servers), some networking. Recommended: ADSL 1MB + 20:1 contention ratio minimum.
  • Business: Multiple computers, 1 server, some networking. Recommended: ADSL 1MB + 5:1 contention ratio minium or better.
  • Need more? If you have more hardware than this, we can also specificy SDSL in some major UK cities or higher bandwidth solutions like leased lines and guaranteed connections. Just call us.

WiFi Hot-spot-in-a-box

Generate revenue from your Broadband Internet Connection - give your customers Wireless access to the Internet by installing one of our WiFi Hot-spots. We're service-provider agnostic so your customers will be able to use their BT Openzone or O2 WiFi accounts, or be able to top-up or buy vouchers at anytime. Revenue is paid back once recouped from those service providers. Simple, and the box costs only £370. Heck, we'll even come and install it for you if you want.

Networking

We provide hardware and installation services to get you up and running in just about any situation.

Whether it's a simple case of a single office or work-space which only requires very basic networking, or where we need to distribute a network around a complex building structure by using Wireless or specialist Bridging (eg. Ethernet of Power) - we can solve it.

We can also specify your internet connection, given our experiences of dealing with many of the major suppliers and getting it all working together.

Our team also has a 24 hour service for ordering network hardware so we can get you sorted as soon as possible with the bits you need.
